We know that energy is a part and parcel of our day to day life. The whole human society, we are dependent on energy from transportation to cooking and even electricity generation. Without energy, it is difficult and quite impossible to survive. But if you talk about energy resources like, Oil Gas and Coal, today or tomorrow they might get depleted, because they are non-renewable. So that is why for our future survival, we should have the basic ideas about the renewable energy technologies.

In this course you will have several renewable energy technologies to learn. Hydro power, solar energy, tidal power, wind energy, and geothermal energy. And you will also get to learn about their prospect, status and challenges in Bangladesh. Do not get confused in between the power and energy. Sometimes we can use power and even sometimes we can use energy. Power is the capacity of electricity generation and energy is the total electricity generation in a given time. So just do not get confused.

You do not need to have any previous background, knowledge, or even scientific ideas to understand this course. This course has been designed very easily so that anyone can understand.
